As one always searching for my own stance between shifts of abstract and representational, I appreciate Avery. An endearing intimacy, I find in accompanying the artist into a sense of place, a shared eye moment with enough breathing room to feel.
“White Wave” is my favorite in heaviest abstraction, and “Vermont Hills” for his most detailed work. “Green Sea” is beautiful between and brings memory of similar sensory in a pastel illustration I made during school days for a poem, “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost.
Thank you for shining a bit of light in gathering these examples. My thoughts also return to standing in front of giant Rothko paintings in the Guggenheim. Eventually, something in that room spiraled my first quest for raw powdered pigments.
So glad you enjoyed. Feel really lucky that one of my local art galleries is showing some of Rothko’s Seagram paintings later this month. Can’t wait to stare in wonder at them for ages, enjoying getting lost.
That’s a grand stash to have on exhibition loan. 😎 … I find it interesting how art makes appearance in various places. Some days I’ve found my hands on the most unexpected things. ✨🧚♀️✨ May it bring inspiration and a spark of motivation to those who experience it. Cheers!
I need, for a smallish seaside gallery it’s a steal! Me too, love a good art tour. I’m sure it’ll go down very well. Hope you have an amazing weekend 👌🏽
Much thanx, and likewise! - It will be an outstanding weekend, and nice beach weather too. ✨🌊✨ May have the blessing of good company to go with the art. Cheers! 🌸
You’re welcome ☺️ glad to share xx
