This is truly my definitive Christmas Carol-- we delight in singing along 🎶 “we’re Marley & and Marley--- WooooOooOooooo!”, Michael Cain is perfect, and when I think of the ghost of Christmas present, it’s this one who beckons me in to “know me better, man!”-- happy Christmas to you and yours. 🫶🏼

Oh no - now I've read this, I'm going to have to watch it. I've only ever seen the odd clip of this movie but as I do enjoy a Muppet and Michael C, this sounds like a tret I might enjoy even though I am by character a bit of a humbug about the festive season. Is it still festive season on the 29th?

I think you’ll enjoy it if you like the Muppets etc. Hmm I think you can still watch it this side of Christmas for sure 👌🏽

I agree! I know I'm against the collective grain in being probably the only person who thinks Michael Caine is hammier than a miss Piggy sandwich (I've never rated him), but you know what, it doesn't stop my unadulterated enjoyment of this Christmas masterpiece 💗

Great movie. I also love Scrooged with Bill Murray, but that's mostly because of its undeniable horror elements.

I’m in agreement with Nadia-your Christmas essays have been a delight to read💞I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

I’ve always loved The Muppets, and the various versions of A Christmas Carol yet somehow it’s eluded me that the fantastic Sir Michael Cain was in this version. Probably, at the time, because I was more fascinated by the muppets themselves than the human playing Scrooge, lol. This adaptation plus the adaptation with Sir Patrick Stewart are my two favorites!

As one raised on "Sesame Street" and later "The Muppet Show", everything the Muppets do is magic. Love this, Matt. (On the flip side, SCROOGED is often overlooked and I love it.) xo

I actually never liked the muppets growing up but I do love them as an adult! I also think the Muppet movie with Jason Segel is suuuper weird and creepy lol

Wonderful, Matt. The Muppet Christmas Carol is THE best Christmas film and THE best Christmas Carol adaptation (imo). I watch it every year. Love, love, love!!
